Detaille is a niche cosmetic house, founded in 1905 and named after the husband of Countess de Presle, Edouard Detaille. The chemist Marcellin Berthelot made a hand cream for the countess, and so it all began. The collection enlarged itself with toilet waters and powders, and the clientele of this store included names such as the queen of Bulgaria, queen of Belgium, a few maharajas, countesses, princesses, and various famous personalities from public life. It has produced more than 19 perfumes. The earliest edition was created in 1905 and the latest was in 2016.
